“in case they run again” illuminates racist structures, even among those who perceive themselves as free from them. The work explores power inequalities and traces connections between sexuality, racism, and education. By deliberately employing objects that embody control, suppression, and protection, the piece interweaves these themes to expose how conditioning is strategically mobilized to secure oppression and maintain power. At its core lies the impulse to regulate or extinguish resistance.
