"in case they run again" addresses deeply rooted racist structures, even in the minds of those who claim to be free of such thoughts. This work moves along the timeline from the beginnings of slavery to the present day, discussing power imbalances and showing parallel structures between sexuality, racism, and education. It explores the control and education of both animals and humans as a means of enforcing compliance and maintaining dominance. The piece reflects a plan for the threatening eventuality—a threatened ego and stagnant thinking. Concepts of right and wrong play no role; the ambition remains the same: to control resistance, regulate those deemed different, and, if necessary, eliminate them.
