PE;ĆINA [2022]

500X500 CM

‘pe;ćina" focuses on the fundamental questions of life and existence. It urgently asks: How are you brought into existence? In the "uterine sanctuary"? Through the "feminine embodiment"? In the harmonious "tapestry of nature"? And who even is your mother? These questions invite listeners to engage with the roots of their own existence and reflect on how we perceive the sources of life.

The installation explores complex themes such as self-delusion, destruction, and internal conflict, addressing the cyclical nature of hatred and evil. It portrays a deeply flawed individual, or perhaps humanity as a whole, that fails to recognize or appreciate the essential feminine, natural, and nurturing forces that bring us to life. Instead, a destructive tendency emerges, revealing a desire to dominate and poison these sources, leading to a vicious cycle of abuse and repression.

"pe;ćina" unfolds as a multi-layered sound tapestry that immerses the listener in a fascinating yet often unsettling sonic landscape. The sounds reflect the various facets of life: the soothing pulse of a heartbeat, the gentle whispers of nature, and the melancholic tones of loss and grief. These acoustic elements create an atmosphere that captures both the nurturing aspect of life and the vulnerability of human existence.
